IICP advocacy initiative is our social action, which aims to influence children, human and peoples’ rights decision making processes at national, regional and international level. Our activities include media campaigns, public speaking, publishing research, filing of an amicus brief. Collaboration with lobbying groups at home and abroad by conducting direct approach to legislators on an issue which plays a significant role in child, human and peoples’ rights protection. Of late we have added the opportunity on offer by social media to facilitate our engagement and collective action to advance children, human and peoples’ rights in Africa.

Were it become possible we use social justice advocacyto address issues in anti-corruption and other prevalent criminalized activities that could harm child development. We conduct also people’s action in attempt atopening up space to allow for public argumentation and proposal of policy solution. Other advocacy action that we faithfully pursue to advance child, human and peoples’ rights in Africa is the child led initiativethat aim to involve children in rights protection and participation in issues that concern them. Were ever possible we:
• Use our pull of expertbureaucratsto present issues to decision makers with the view to influence issues affecting child, human and peoples’ rights in Africa.
• Advocate the health of children and members of their family. Health is an important issue for us. As a result wesupport and promoteright to health care as well as enhancement of community health and policy initiatives that focus on the availability, safety and quality of care for children and members of their family.
• Like working in a team, we have linksto several child, human and peoples’ rights organisations at national, regional and international level. By so doing we influence political decision-makers as interest group.
• Initiate legislative advocacy at national, regional and international level. The strategy here is to depend on national, sub-regional and regional legislative process to create changes that improve protection of rights of the child.
